Community policing will help focus officers on building real relationships in their district in order to foster trust and reduce the probability of citizens experiencing trauma. Enhancing our crisis intervention training for officers will prepare them to handle high-stress situations and hone their de-escalation techniques.

Nothing will change if we do not bridge the gap between law enforcement and citizens by coming together to engage in events, workshops, and forums. We must foster youth mentorship programs to provide role models for any at-risk children.

It is through transparency and accountability that together we can restore hope in Macon-Bibb county. We will effectively combat crime by implementing intelligence-led policing techniques, enhancing investigative capabilities, and leveraging technology to identify and apprehend criminals.
